Q. How do I join FTYCMA?
A. You join FTYCMA by first printing the form provided on this website.  You would then send your check and completed form to our treasurer.

Q. Are you affiliated with AMATYC?  What does the AMATYC acronym mean?
A. Our state organization (FTYCMA, found at bottom of every page) is formally affiliated with our national organization (AMATYC).  The latter is the acronym for the American Mathematical Association of Two Year Colleges.

Q. Do I have to be a community/state college or college instructor to join FTYCMA?
A. No. You only need to be interested in joining and participating with FTYCMA and need not be a professor or instructor at any college.

Q. How much are the annual dues for FTYCMA?
A. Our annual dues are currently $15.00 per year payable when you submit the membership form. Life memberships are calculated as 15 years times the annual fee, or $225.00.

Q. When and/or how often does your organization meet?
A. Our annual meeting is held generally in the spring (late February or early March) in conjunction with the Florida Section of the Mathematical Association of America.  You may check this site for detailed information on this and other planned meetings.

Q. Do you have either by-laws or a constitution?  If so, where may I obtain a copy?
A. We have both a set of by-laws and a constitution found on this site.

Q. Do you have some kind of publication for members?  If so, how often is it published?
A. Our newsletter is published for members yearly.  Our newsletter editor may be contacted directly at this site.  An electronic copy should be available on this site as well.

Q. How many schools are represented by your organization?
A. We are uncertain how many schools/colleges are represented.  However, the full time and adjunct faculty throughout Florida's 28 community/state college system are invited to participate by joining FTYCMA.

Q. Do you have FTYCMA life memberships available?
A. We currently do have life memberships available.  Donald Ransford of SouthWestern State College prepared a proposal that was accepted at our 2003 spring business meeting.  The form is available for your use.

Q. If I desire to contribute to your organization, what do I need to do?
A. You need only contact any officer and let them know of your desire to contribute and skills you bring to assist us.

Q. Do you have a secure site for billing credit cards for those seeking to join?
A. We currently do not have a secure site for accepting membership payments by credit card.

Q. Is there a threaded discussion group where I may air my views with colleagues?
A. A threaded discussion group is currently not available.

Q. How do I find out about FTYCMA meetings/conferences?
A. You may find any event relative to FTYCMA on this site.

Q. How do I find out about AMATYC meetings/conferences?
